Lynas recently announced an approximately $500M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth materials. In this role, you are a crucial part of the Owner’s Team tasked to manage the site execution phase of the Expansion Project to achieve cost-effective and fit-for-purpose construction of the new processing facilities and associated infrastructure safely, on time and on budget. This is a fixed term 2-year contract role based in Perth with travel to Mt Weld as required.As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:Setup, Manage and Maintain the Completions Management System (CMS)Provision of support and training to completions personnel, ensuring personnel are competent and possess the required skills and toolsSupervise subcontractor CMS administration inputs as well as execute uploading ITRs into Completions Management System (CMS) and assigning them to the specific CMS tag itemsMaintaining CMS database accuracy, Monitoring and ensuring a high standard of quality data and information in the CMSEnsure that Change Control is incorporated into the CMS and that it reflects the up-to-date status of the design & engineeringAdministration and coordination of Sub-System Handover Walk downsManage Punch List tracking, support, and closeout in cooperation with the Construction, Quality, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning TeamsResolving queries and providing support to commissioning and project management teamsReporting on outstanding items to drive completion of subsystems, in line with project milestonesPreparing digital workpacks and handover dossiersProcessing data change requestsEnsuring that complete documentation and data packages are compiled and are in place to accommodate handover at Discipline Completion, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up phases of the ProjectWhat you will bring to the team:A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or Trade Qualifications (preferably mechanical or electrical)Relevant experience in Construction Completions and/or Commissioning CompletionsExperience using Completions Management Systems such as CCMS, Orbit, PIMS (Omega), TOSTR, ICAPS, Go Completions, or Intergraph Smart CompletionsGood knowledge of EPCM administrative processes and procedures and supervisory experienceTechnical knowledge of completions/start-up/commissioning, operation, maintenance, or testingKnowledge of engineering systems and calculationsExtensive knowledge of precedents in the completions/start-up/commissioning and operations areas and a broad knowledge of principles and practices of related areasBroad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to completions/start-up/commissioning, maintenance, operations, or testing.Can perform under pressure and prioritize competing deadlinesProcess drivenStrong IT skillsDemonstrated skill in leadershipPreference will be given to candidates with experience working within the mining industry, especially with previous WA grinding, flotation, and filtration plant installation.Are you ready for your next challenge?
