You will work as part of a smaller team so you can expect to build strong relations with your colleagues.The Opportunity:We’re looking for a well-trained occupational hygiene technician to join us on our journey. You will have the opportunity to play a diverse and interesting role in supporting plant operations. This role will cover occupational hygiene monitoring such as dust, noise, water quality management but will also assist with environmental monitoring. This role is being offered on a Monday – Friday Kalgoorlie residential, so you will be home every night and have your weekends off.Your responsibilities would include:Fulfill surface ventilation officer statuary role for the siteUndertake required monitoring, sampling and measurements to ensure the site collects necessary data and information to ensure a safe place of workMaintain databases and records management for all applicable dataSRS data submissionHighlight threats and non-compliances to site managementEnsure relevant management plans are kept up to date, including changes in regulatory or legislative requirements.Ensure samples are collected and sent to laboratories for analysis.Educate and mentor work force on compliance matters and workplace hazardsUndertake field audits in the areas of safety, occ hygiene and environmentUndertake improvement projects in the areas of safety, occ hygiene and environmentLiaise with external service providerSupport other departments as requiredAbout you:Unwavering approach to safetyCert IV OH&S, Basic Principals in Occupational Hygiene, IFAP Surface Ventilation Officer competency, Noise Officer as per Reg 7.10 MSIR 1995, Auditing OH&S Management Systems.
