Construction of our new plant is close to completion, and you will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the final stages of plant commissioning and supporting operational readiness as the plant takes shape.After commissioning, this role will then work on maintaining and optimizing the plant to improve its performance.This position is being offered on a 7/7 12-hour shift roster (Dayshift, Dayshift, Nightshift pattern), Kalgoorlie residential.You will be responsible for:Assisting in plant commissioningParticipating in developing maintenance strategies for new plant and equipmentEnsuring risks are identified and managed and a safe working environment is maintainedProviding maintenance support to the operationWorking closely with site Mechanical Engineers for equipment reliability checksAssisting the team with reliability of all site equipmentUndertaking projects to optimise plant performance.To be successful you will have the following:Prior experience in mining or heavy industrial environmentRelevant Australian-recognised mechanical fitting Trade certificationWest Australian C Class Manual Drivers License (minimum)Current High Risk Forklift, EWP, CN tickets (desirable)Unwavering approach to safetyExperience on various types of pumps, valves, gearboxes and agitatorsUnderstanding of lubrication activities, such as oil and grease typesability to follow lubrication schedules, carry out oil sampling and analysisCondition monitoring experience (desirable)Hydraulic and pneumatic experience (desirable)Basic level of computer skills (MS Word and Excel)Full Australian working rightsMust reside locally within the Goldfields region for our residential site, or be willing to relocateMaintain facial hair/jewellery to be able to pass a respirator fit test as per AS 1715:2009.Why join us?Lynas Rare Earths is an ethical and environmentally responsible producer of rare earth materials, with our deposit being one of the highest-grade Rare-Earth deposits in the world, boasting a mine life of 20+ years.Our people work in an environment where safety is always the first priority.
