You will work as part of a smaller team so you can expect to build excellent connections with your colleagues. The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager IT, you will be responsible providing IT support for all staff located in Australia, including our operational sites in Mt Weld and Kalgoorlie.This role is a Perth based on a 5:2 roster, the role will include frequent travel to Mt Weld and Kalgoorlie. Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority, and nature.Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and other computer and telecommunications equipment.Install deploy and support PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile hardware and software.Create alternative methods of completing tasks, and correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases, provide recommendations on Endpoint patches updates.Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization. Ensure all calls are allocated and closed in a timely manner.Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, OneDrive, email servers, computer conferencing systems, local servers, and administrative systems.Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences, and back-out instructions in our managed engine incident ticketing systemEscalate incident-related Endpoint or the central systems to the principal supplier, be part of the standby roster to provide 24x7 on-call IT support on a rotational basis. Skills and experience required for this roleHold IT industry certificates Degree in IT or CompTIA A+ Certification, MCSE, MCSA with experience in desktop and Server support within an industrial environment.Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting IT hardware in a network environmentSelf-starter candidate, strong customer service focus, and self-discipline.Proficiency in Microsoft Office365, Mitel phone and Microsoft Active Directory.Be proactive in anticipating and resolving problems. Take ownership and initiative for problem resolution, spot potential problem areas, analyze solutions, propose a resolution, and ensure implementation.
